To maintain the sustainability of the journal and cover the associated publishing costs, the journal imposes an Article Processing Charge (APC) on accepted articles.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The APC is applied to authors to help cover the costs of editorial work, peer review, article production, and hosting. This charge becomes applicable once an article is accepted for publication, and payment is required before the final publication of the article.

The current APC for the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation is: $2,589 USD for all types of articles.

This charge is mandatory for all accepted articles. Authors must settle the payment promptly to ensure that their article is published in a timely manner.

Waiver Policy

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation (JAIRI) acknowledges that authors from low- and middle-income countries or those facing financial challenges may have difficulties paying the APC. To support these authors, the journal offers waivers for the APC under certain conditions.

Waivers are considered on a case-by-case basis, and authors are required to provide supporting documentation, such as evidence of financial constraints or affiliation with an institution from a low-income country. Each waiver request will be reviewed individually.

Additional Charges

Along with the standard APC, authors may incur additional charges for specific services. These include:

• Color Figures: No additional fee for publishing color figures in the article.
• Supplementary Materials: No additional fee for including supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, videos, or extra files).
• Urgent Processing: No additional fee for expedited processing of articles.

These services are optional and will only be applied if the author requests them during the submission process. Payment for optional services must be made before the final publication of the article.
