The Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation (JAIRI) is committed to advancing the field of artificial intelligence by providing an open-access platform for innovative research. We understand that financial limitations can hinder some researchers from publishing their work, and therefore, we offer a waiver policy to support those in need of financial assistance.

Eligibility for Waivers

The JAIRI waiver policy is designed to assist authors who are facing financial hardship and cannot afford the Article Processing Charges (APCs). Waivers may be considered for the following authors:

  • Researchers from low-income and developing countries, as defined by international organizations.
  • Early-career researchers or independent scholars without institutional funding.
  • Authors facing personal or institutional financial constraints who can provide proof of financial need.

Each waiver request is carefully reviewed on an individual basis, ensuring fairness and equity for all authors.

Waiver Review and Approval Process

The editorial board of JAIRI evaluates all waiver requests, taking into account the applicant’s financial situation, their research contribution to the field of artificial intelligence, and the availability of funding for waivers. Authors will be notified about the outcome of their waiver application within a reasonable period.

Partial Waivers

In certain cases, the journal may grant a partial waiver based on the level of financial need. Partial waivers are determined at the discretion of the editorial board, depending on available resources and the severity of the applicant’s financial limitations.

How to Apply for a Waiver

To request a waiver, authors must submit a formal application to the JAIRI editorial office at [email protected]. The application should include:

  • The manuscript title and submission ID (if available).
  • A description of financial difficulties, along with supporting documentation such as a letter from the author’s institution or evidence of limited funding.
  • Full name and affiliation of the author(s) submitting the request.

We encourage authors to submit their waiver request as soon as they submit their manuscript to ensure a smooth and timely publication process.

The JAIRI strives to make groundbreaking artificial intelligence research accessible to all, regardless of financial background. For any further questions or clarification, please reach out to the editorial office.
