Ensuring Research Integrity and Originality

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation (JAIRI) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in publishing by ensuring that all submitted research is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism. As a platform dedicated to the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and data science, we emphasize transparency, integrity, and academic honesty in all publications.

Plagiarism in any form—including direct copying, self-plagiarism, paraphrasing without attribution, or data fabrication—is strictly prohibited. JAIRI upholds ethical publishing principles to safeguard intellectual property and foster groundbreaking research in AI and computational sciences.

Plagiarism Detection and Screening

All manuscripts submitted to JAIRI undergo comprehensive plagiarism screening using iThenticate and Turnitin. These tools analyze submissions against a vast database of scholarly literature, conference proceedings, and online content to detect any instances of duplication or improper citation.

To ensure originality, we implement the following measures:

  • Thorough text similarity analysis to detect plagiarism and improper paraphrasing.
  • Verification of cited sources to ensure proper credit is given.
  • Detection of redundant publications and self-plagiarism.
  • Screening for manipulated, falsified, or duplicate datasets.

Manuscripts with a similarity index above 15% (excluding references and common AI terminology) will be returned for revision. Any paper containing excessive plagiarism will be rejected.

Types of Unacceptable Plagiarism

The following unethical practices are not tolerated by JAIRI:

  • Direct Plagiarism: Copying content, code, or datasets without proper citation.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Republishing one's previously published work without proper acknowledgment.
  • Unattributed Paraphrasing: Rewriting another author's work without proper citation.
  • Data and Code Manipulation: Falsifying AI models, training datasets, or results to misrepresent findings.

Authors must ensure that all references, AI models, datasets, and algorithms used in their research are properly credited to their original sources.

Consequences of Plagiarism

Any attempt to submit plagiarized work will result in serious consequences, including:

  • Immediate Rejection: Any manuscript with significant plagiarism will be rejected without review.
  • Author Blacklisting: Offending authors may be prohibited from future submissions.
  • Retraction of Published Articles: If plagiarism is discovered post-publication, the article will be withdrawn from the journal's records.
  • Institutional Notification: Severe violations may be reported to the author's affiliated institution.

JAIRI reserves the right to take appropriate action against any form of academic misconduct.

Author Responsibilities

To maintain ethical publishing practices, authors must:

  • Ensure their research is entirely original and properly attributed.
  • Obtain necessary permissions for using third-party content, datasets, or figures.
  • Avoid submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals.
  • Provide accurate citations for all sources, including datasets and software used.

Authors are encouraged to conduct a preliminary plagiarism check before submission to ensure compliance with ethical standards.
